MARTY RUIZ: STILL A WINNER!

Posted on August 13, 2010. Filed under: Toastmasters, Toastmasters International, Uncategorized | Tags: , , , , , , |

For those of you who read my August 9 blog post about Dallas-based artist Marty Ruiz’s transition from painting to public speaking, I’m sad to report Marty did not place in the stiff Toastmasters International speech semi-finals competition.

Marty Ruiz

Although he will not be bringing home a trophy from the Palm Desert, California held speech contest, this year, Marty is still a winner! He has only been a Toastmasters for a little over a year and has achieved this phenomenal success of competing at this level of competition at the annual convention — vying for a coveted spot against some of the top speakers from around the world.

Marty’s speeches have touched the lives of many, particularly in the Dallas area, and have hopefully given hope to those who now know “One Personcan make a difference!

Congratulations Marty! You are still a winner and you are definitely “Worth Blogging About!”

Marty you truly are the one for us in District 50. We are the ones who are blessed to have you speak to us. What a blessing. It shows that you have talent that the best is yet to come.
